Ella Fleur (B.1999)

Always attentive to the unseen forces that shape our existence, Ella Fleur’s practice moves through memory and world-building. Often working with airbrush, ink, bleach, and oil paint, she proposes landscapes as layered cultural constructs where past, present, and speculative futures converge. Anxiety and wonder coexist across her layered surfaces, inviting us to re/imagine alternative modes of being amid the growing precarity of our natural environments.
Misted forests, wandering figures, collapsing foregrounds and distant light-forms, these motifs recur across her paintings and conjure dreamlike worlds where the unpredictable will of her materials direct each composition.
